St. Anne's Church, Denton

Apologies for a lack of updates on this site - life has been very busy and I also have two other sites I run. I have no intention of letting this site fade anytime soon so please do bear with me on occasions that there is a delay between posts.

So on with this rather lovely church:

St Annes in Haughton is a beautiful building and one that is , quite rightly, a Grade 1 listed building .
The church was built in 1881 and designed by J. Medland Taylor. It was funded by E. Joseph Sidebotham, a member of the Sidebotham mill-owning family of Hyde. It has been described as the best-known work of the architects, an 'extraordinary free-form brick church that forms the nucleus of the most important cluster of their buildings' surviving.
If you haven't already seen it - go - it's a must see!
